About Dr. Newman

Dr. Kaz Newman is a graduate of 1972 with honors. In 1978, after practicing General Dentistry for six years, he attended Marquette University in Wisconsin for his post-graduate studies. He took a residency program in Prosthodontics. He completed his post-graduate training and obtained a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics in 1981. Immediately after his graduation from Orthodontics, he furthered his education in Bio-Material Science in Dentistry where he received his second Master of Science degree and the Walter Joyce, Jr. Research Foundation Award in 1983. Upon his graduation, he practiced Orthodontics for a number of years in the states of Wisconsin and New York. In 1987, he moved to the state of California where he established his private practice of Orthodontics in San Diego, California.

Dr. Newman is a board-eligible orthodontist who believes that it is imperative to remain in the forefront of advancements in orthodontics. Therefore, he attends numerous orthodontic lectures and seminars every year. He continues to build on the traditions of excellence. He is also a graduate of Boston Dental Implant Institute where he recived his didactic and clinical training in Dental Implant Dentistry. He is currently a member of American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), San Diego County Dental Society (SCDS), American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO), and American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).

About Dr. Soto

Dr. "Ata" Soto has been a practicing dentist since 1991. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of the East; and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Point Loma Nazarene University. She also completed a post-graduate course in Cosmetic Dentistry at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Soto has been passionate about everyone's dental health since her teenage years. Coming from a family of dentists, she acquired a genuine love for her profession. She continues to further her dental talent by acquiring new knowledge in current dental technologies, trends and professional skills through a variety of resources. She focuses on providing the best dental care while using state-of-the-art technologies and procedures for her patients.

On her free time, Dr. Soto enjoys taking care of her beautiful yard and garden. She also enjoys brisk walking, biking and did I also mention "Coronado Beach?"
